Presenters' Guidelines
1. GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1. You will have 25 minutes for your presentation.
Please allow approximately 5 minutes for Q&A.
1.2. All presentations are due by Friday, October 10, 2008.
All
presentations must be submitted in PowerPoint softcopy format
to
SoC@SavantCompany.com
1.3. Using your
PowerPoint presentation file, Savant Company Inc. will create
handouts (Conference Proceedings) for all Conference attendees. Savant
Company Inc. will not sell or distribute your softcopy; Savant will use
your softcopy only for the purpose of generating and then selling
Conference Proceedings in hardcopy format only. No CDs will be sold or
otherwise provided.
1.4. All presentations
MUST follow the abstract you submitted and MUST be targeted to our
professional audience. Please allow no more than two PowerPoint slides (maximum!) to your
company and its great services/products!
1.5. Please note that
Savant Company Inc. reserves the right (a) to reject materials that do not
meet the Conference's technical requirements and (b) to cancel a session if
the presentation materials do not comply with the technical requirements of
the Conference.
2. FORMAT
2.1. As a rule of
thumb, a 25-minute presentation should be approximately 20 PowerPoint
slides. Extra slides (pages) are welcome as part of
your appendix.
2.2. Before submitting
your materials, please check your presentation by printing a black-and-white
copy and examining it carefully for readability. Please avoid any content
that is not clear when printed and when copied in black and white.
2.3. In an
effort to provide presenters with maximum flexibility, the SoC Conference
Organizing Committee has decided not to require presenters to use Savant's
PowerPoint master slides. Instead, presenters are encouraged to use
their company's standard PowerPoint format.
Our only requirement is
that presenters include the following phrase on the first page of their
PowerPoint presentations:
Savant Company Inc.

System-on-Chip (SoC) Conference, Exhibit, and Workshops
November 2008, Newport
Beach, California
3. LATE SUBMISSIONS
3.1. Presentations
received after the Friday, October 10, 2008, deadline will not be included in the Conference
handouts.
In this case, the presenter is expected to provide the needed
handouts (3-hole-punched, printed two-slides per page,
double-sided). Please contact us (SoC@SavantCompany.com) for the approximate number of copies before
the Conference date.
3.2. A softcopy of late
presentations must still be submitted to Savant Company Inc. before Friday, October
24, 2008, for approval.
4.
Confidentiality, Copyrights, and
Trademarks
4.1. Please note
that after the Conference, Savant Company Inc. reserves the right to sell
HARDCOPIES of the Conference Proceedings to interested parties. NO
SOFTCOPIES will be sold or distributed in any format.
